Xbox Clips — A New Feature to Share Your Walkthroughs

Xbox Clips will change the way you can share your progress in games. From now on, it’s going to be super easy.
It looks like the concept of free-access links is going to change how we share gaming content on Xbox forever.
A new feature — referred to as Xbox Clips — will allow you to save screenshots and captured videos and share them right away. It will generate a link that will be available everywhere: the Xbox app, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and so on.
The Xbox app will offer a layout similar to that of TikTok. In this carousel, you’ll be offered to watch gameplay clips from other people. It will be titled “trending content”, and there’ll probably be likes, shares, and even subscriptions.
Previously, Xbox gamers were chained to a rather arduous process. To share footage of your “suicidal” escapades in GTA or a flawlessly executed fatality in Mortal Kombat, you’d have to make a screen capture, save it to a phone, and then only spread the stuff via social media.
As the Xbox’s team announced via Twitter:
For comparison, sharing similar content on PS5 is way smoother. You just need to record a highlighted moment, press Share and then deliver your gaming adventures to friends via PSN or a social platform where you prefer to hang out.
Additionally, PlayStation allows tweaking your vids and pics with the help of Factory Studio. If Xbox wants to increase user engagement, adding basic video-editing tools — filters and VFX — would be a strategically good move.
With Xbox Clips, you can boast of your mastery, skill, and patience at playing. Or just laugh at random funny moments. Do you often share your gameplay? Let us know in the comments!
