In anticipation of the highly awaited GTA 6, Rockstar Games continues to keep its fans on their toes with sizeable updates to GTA 5 Online. The current year, 2023, has been no exception. The San Andreas Mercenaries update, released on 13th June, has brought substantial changes to the game, affecting both PC and console players. However, the update has also led to the surprising removal of numerous vehicles from the game, leading to a range of mixed reactions from the players.

Rockstar Games introduced a plethora of new content to the game through the San Andreas Mercenaries update. The inclusion of new vehicles like HSW Upgradable Grotti Itali GTO Stinger TT, F-160 Raiju, and Mammoth Streamer216 has been a delightful addition. New weapons, missions, and purchasable cosmetic items have also been added to the game. Furthermore, the Smuggler Hangar has been updated with new missions, staff, and more. The company has also introduced new content for Career progression, making it a comprehensive update.

However, the update has also resulted in the removal of a whopping 189 vehicles from GTA Online. Despite previous warnings from the developers that several lesser-used vehicles would be removed, the number has left fans surprised. It was assumed that the vehicles to be removed would be the older, less frequently bought cars. However, the list of removed vehicles includes a mix of cars and bikes, some of which were quite popular among players.

Adding to the disappointment, Rockstar Games has moved some of these previously free vehicles to their new GTA+ service, which comes with a subscription fee of $6 per month. This move has been met with criticism, as it excludes previous-gen and PC players from accessing these vehicles. In addition, some vehicles have been relegated to occasional appearances in-game through the weekly events, further adding to the players' disappointment.

In conclusion, while the San Andreas Mercenaries update has added a wealth of new content to GTA 5 Online, the removal of 189 vehicles has been a controversial move. Players who have previously purchased these vehicles can still access them. However, this does not alleviate the disappointment for many fans. It remains to be seen how the players will adapt to this change and how it will influence the game dynamics in the future.
