Mario Kart Tour, the mobile game that launched in 2019, is embarking on its farewell tour. A notice has been sent out to users stating that after the conclusion of scheduled events - Anniversary Tour on September 20, Battle Tour on October 4, and the Halloween Tour on October 18 - no new content will be added to the game. This means that there will be no further additions of tracks, characters, items or karts post these dates.

Mario Kart Tour's journey, to say the least, has encountered a fair share of bumps. Owing to its loot box system, it faced criticism from the community and several legal proceedings. However, the game continually tried to inject novelty through newer content. One stellar instance being the track Madrid Drive, set around the Spanish capital, showcasing recognizable sites and a striking promotional image of Luigi indulging in churros.

While the game continues to be playable post October 4 (content cease date), do not anticipate the entry of new characters from Nintendo in the mobile game. Thus, make the most of the game and enjoy a final round around the track before it runs out of steam.
