Finally, Perfectly Detailed GTA: San Andreas

GTA: San Andreas Definitive Edition came out back in November 2021, and it is no secret that it was a total failure for most fans. The game was almost unplayable, and the company managed to ruin the old-school aesthetic beloved by everyone. Nevertheless, there is a silver lining in this dark story.

Recently, modder flyaway888 decided to change the situation and created a free mod under the name GTA San Andreas HD Optimized Textures. This addition changed everything in the original 2004 game. It doesn’t take out any pieces of gameplay but actually touches up many details and makes GTA: SA more alluring to new players. You can run the game without any problems with the said mod and see the wonderful HD world of San Andreas.

You can now go around the streets and read signs on the shops, explore the authentic brickwork and pavement, and try out clothes with actual details on them. When going for a ride, your car will seem shiny and new with reflections on the sides. Discovering the country became interesting and exciting since the sky is clearer and the draw distance has been increased, so you can catch a glimpse of Mount Chiliad far out back.

This free mod is like a breath of air after the official Definitive Edition, which created a chunky and sad look around the game. Additionally, you won’t have to worry about rain looking 2D-like and weather bugging you all the time. There are always ways to make even an old game look good, and modern modders know all about it.

The first versions of the game were running on PS2 and Xbox, and that seems like a faraway reality right now. Nevertheless, you can enjoy GTA: San Andreas once again in HD without worrying about additional bugs and upsetting pictures.
