A New Stories UI On Instagram Is A Controversial Innovation Image

In the past month, Instagram has been spending a lot of time testing a new user interface for displaying Stories. Its main change is that Stories posts will be hidden after a certain number of frames. This mode allows you to view only the first 3 frames, and you need to click on ‘Show all’ to continue viewing, which is displayed in the lower-left corner of the screen. As you might have guessed, with this new approach, the likelihood that your audience will view the rest of the Stories after the first three is significantly reduced.

So far, there is no official confirmation from the company that this innovation will move from the testing phase to Instagram itself. Moreover, even the testing process itself is carried out on a small sample of people. A possible reason for such a change was that recently Instagram has shifted focus to Reels, and in view of this, technical changes are possible, since all information will be collected in a single place.

For those who do not like innovation, this idea will not be welcome, but it is worth considering the fact that Reels is now an important part of Instagram, where users spend an increasing percentage of their time. So maybe this is another stepping stone to bring Reels to the forefront of the app.

However, since Instagram has not officially given explanations on this topic, and this development is quite likely to remain part of testing, you should not come to hasty conclusions. Time will put everything in its place.

Do you like the idea of stories showing a small number of frames? Do you spend a lot of time watching Reels? Tell us about it in the comments below.
