Inflexion Games recently brought its much-anticipated title, Nightingale, to the PC gaming community through Steam Early Access. However, the launch has not been smooth sailing, as players frequently faced disruptions such as server disconnections both when attempting to enter the game and while navigating between its various realms.

Understanding the players' frustrations with its initially online-only functionality, Inflexion Games is now developing an offline mode. The team explained their original goal was to create a vast universe of interconnected realms to foster cooperative exploration among players. This ambitious vision led them to prioritize the challenges of enabling seamless co-op gameplay across different realms over the implementation of an offline mode. In retrospect, the developers acknowledge they might have misjudged the community's expectations regarding how they wished to experience the game.

Inflexion Games is now putting the offline mode high on its list of priorities and aims to roll it out as swiftly as possible, urging the community to stay tuned for updates in the near future. Additionally, the team reassured players that the development of other aspects of the game, such as new content and improvements to the overall player experience, continues to progress, with updates expected in the near term.

Currently, the early access version of Nightingale introduces players to three biomes, a variety of craftable items and structures, a progression system, and dungeons to explore. A unique feature of the game is the Realm Cards system, which allows players to generate new worlds with distinct characteristics and challenges, offering a fresh take compared to other titles in the survival crafting genre.

Inflexion Games plans to keep Nightingale in early access for approximately nine to twelve months, a timeline subject to adjustment based on the development process. During this period, the team will introduce additional biomes, items, and Realm Cards to enrich the gaming experience.
