This year marks the third anniversary of Bravely Default 2, and series producer Tomoya Asano has taken this occasion to express his gratitude to the game's dedicated fanbase through a recent tweet. He didn't just stop to say thank you; Asano also hinted at exciting upcoming events for the Bravely series within the year.

While Asano left fans guessing about what exactly these developments might entail, there are strong indications that a remaster of the original game could be in the offing. Back in October 2022, Asano hinted that remastering the first installment could be the most favorable option for fans, though he stopped short of confirming any plans.

The original Bravely Default game made its debut globally in 2013 on the Nintendo 3DS. This received widespread acclaim for its storyline and battle system despite receiving a mixed reception for the repetitive nature of its later stages.
